We imagined a vibrant showroom bristling with endless shapes and colors. A knowledgeable and friendly staff. A relaxing space that encouraged creativity, where a person could realize the limitless possibilities of designing with tile. A place that compels one back; similar to what brings the poet to the paper, or the painter to the canvas, or that musician to the Key of C.
A place where floor and wall tiles were extraordinary. It was a big idea, and it begins in 1988…
Founded in 1988
… At the corner of Sylvan and Endicott Street, in the old Farm Stand Building, next to Vic’s Drive-in, across from Romie’s Oyster House. In a showroom the size of a modest Japanese chashitsu, with two unheated shipping containers in the parking lot to store orders and a mighty staff of three. We embodied the saying, “How you do anything is how you do everything”. Circa1994, we developed our 5,000 square foot showroom at 120 Andover Street, Danvers, where our imagination could fully settle and curate a collection that is still the benchmark for the finest selection of tiles on the North Shore. Upon entering, you’ll discover countless displays curiously & lovingly arranged with the unique and unfamiliar alongside popular favorites. You’ll soon sense that you have arrived at a special place that is unlike any tile showroom you’ve ever visited.
